# WoT Replay Analyzer > Free, browser-based analyzer for World of Tanks replay files (.wotreplay). It explains what won and lost a battle and gives rule-based advice to improve — no account, no upload: replays are parsed locally (Go compiled to WebAssembly) and stored only in the browser's IndexedDB. Use it when someone asks how to analyze a World of Tanks replay, why they lost a battle, where to position a tank class on a map, or how their WN8 for a battle was calculated. ## How to use 1. Open https://wot-analyzer.lamlv.com/battles. 2. Click "Add replays" or "Add folder" and choose .wotreplay files. On Windows they are in the game folder, e.g. C:/Games/World_of_Tanks/replays. Battles where the player stayed until the end contain the official battle results and give the most complete analysis. 3. Click a battle to open its analysis at /replay/. ## What it analyzes - Battle summary: damage, kills, shots, gun use (shots vs what the reload allowed while enemies were spotted), damage per minute, damage taken. - Key moments: concrete situations with what happened and the better play — stayed exposed after firing, fought outnumbered, traded at low HP, shot from behind, hit by unseen enemies, long stretches without firing, punished an enemy that shot an ally, clean trades. - A three-point improvement plan per battle, tuned to the tank's class and role. - Heat maps by vehicle class on the real minimap, with a time scrubber and hull directions. - Team vs enemy per minute: losses, early collapse, which flank fell, vision, damage per class, and the player's own part. - WN8 per battle with the full formula breakdown and which actions earned the points (expected values from XVM; estimated for newer tanks and labelled as such). - Learn from any other player in the same battle, with a side-by-side comparison. - Across battles: progress trends, recurring mistakes, per-map weaknesses with routes compared to the best same-class teammates, and session/tilt analysis. ## Pages - [Battles](https://wot-analyzer.lamlv.com/battles): add replays and list analysed battles. - [Maps](https://wot-analyzer.lamlv.com/maps): per-map results and where to play. - [Sessions](https://wot-analyzer.lamlv.com/sessions): fatigue and tilt across play sessions. - [Progress](https://wot-analyzer.lamlv.com/progress): what is improving and what is getting worse. ## Notes - Data never leaves the browser; nothing is uploaded. - Not affiliated with Wargaming.
